Projects:  Jewelry "Dresser"
June 2006

This unusual piece is what I call a jewelry "dresser." It is about 10" tall, 24" wide, and 15" deep. My wife had a set of thin black drawers that she likes to keep her jewelry in, but did not have a convenient way to organize or store the drawers.  So I made this cabinet-style box with dado'ed runners on which the drawers sit and slide.  It fits on a shelf inside a closet organizer in her closet.  The box is made with maple ply sides and back, with a walnut top and trim, finished with Waterlox.

The finished piece, sitting in place and in use.
